Nsa Emodi, Doctoral Trainee

Hi, my name is Nsa (pronounced In-saw)! I am here to support you in your self-healing journey. It can be so overwhelming and frustrating for mental health issues to get in the way of enjoying life like you used to. You don’t have to deal with the heaviness of depression, be on edge with anxiety, struggle with burnout, or feel overwhelmed with identity issues alone – I’m here to support you with compassion and science.

After getting my B.A. in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley I worked in drug and alcohol rehabilitation settings, taught yoga and meditation in inner cities, and trained yoga teachers in Nigeria.

I am now earning my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) focusing my academic work on the science of the brain (neuropsychology), sleep science, mind-body connection, neuroplasticity, and the brain’s miraculous ability to change. As a doctoral trainee therapist, I am honored to work with adults and youth aged 7-12.

It is possible to get through your mental health struggles and come out on the other side more capable of handling challenges! Every day is a new day to reconnect with the most joyful and at ease version of your life. It would be my pleasure to help you get there.
