Marlen Mendez Garcia, MA, PsyD. Psychology Student

Hello! My name is Marlen Mendez Garcia, I am originally from Missouri and am a fourth-year doctoral student at California Northstate University. I received my BA in Biopsychology with a minor in Forensics from McKendree University in IL and my MA in Clinical Psychology from California Northstate University. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.

As a proud Latina clinician, my goal is to provide a safe space for all my clients regardless of their background. I understand that your mental health journey is unique, and I work with you to help you process your thoughts and feelings, build upon your strengths, and help develop effective coping skills all while respecting your values and beliefs. My passions are working with grief and bereavement, trauma, and life transitions. Regardless of what you may be coming in with, I want to provide an open and nonjudgmental space where you feel validated and heard.
