Heather Montag, Doctoral Trainee

Hi! My name is Heather and I am a practicum student working at the Center for Integrative Healing. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at California Northstate University. I received my BA in Psychology with a minor in Thanatology from the University of Rhode Island in 2020 while finishing 10 years in the Navy. As a veteran I have had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life and various backgrounds and have a unique understanding of the complexities of serving in the military as well as transitioning back to civilian life.

In the past I have worked with offender clients suffering from various mental health concerns and trauma experiences. I work from an integrated approach in collaboration with clients because I believe all people are individuals who are complex in nature and therapy should be personalized to each client and their individual experiences.

I am a lifelong learner and look for ways to grow as a clinician and a person each day and am passionate about helping others find their unique path to living a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life. I look forward to working with you and supporting you.
