Christine Chavez, M.A., Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Every person experiences adversity at some point in their life. Sometimes you need an unbiased therapist to help you process personal issues and see situations from a different perspective. I can do that for you in a kind, caring, person-centered way! I believe in meeting the client where they are at emotionally. Together we will use a variety of techniques to facilitate healing, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming exercises, Art Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other methods that may apply. I also use the Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my sessions for couples.

I have a B.A. in Liberal Studies and an M.S. in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). For the past 30 years, I have worked closely with children and parents from diverse backgrounds in a teaching capacity. My specializations are grief counseling, couples and family relationships, and coping skills related to anxiety and depression. Congratulations on taking the first step towards self-improvement.
